Extracurricular Activities
Parish Athletics
Grades 5 through 8 have the opportunity to participate in introductory programs designed to introduce students to competitive sports. Students learn the fundamentals of individual and team skills, as well as Christian conduct during practices and games. Basketball Basketball is open to boys and girls in 5th through 8th grade. B level teams (5th & 6th) focus on fundamental skills. At the A level (7th & 8th), athletes are taught the advanced basketball concepts necessary for competitive play at future levels. Teams compete in the Kettle Moraine Catholic Schools League and enter area tournaments. Sportsmanship and teamwork are stressed at all levels. Volleyball Volleyball is open to girls in grades 5 through 8, with two levels . B level (5th& 6th grade) and A level (7th & 8th grade). Fundamentals are stressed at the B level, while girls at the A level are introduced to concepts for lifelong competitive play. Teams compete in the Kettle Moraine Catholic Schools League and girls at the A level play each year for a spot in the prestigious Milwaukee Area Seton Tournament. Sportsmanship and teamwork are stressed at all levels. Student Eligibility The criteria and parameters for participation in extracurricular activities are defined in the Family Handbook. Holy Trinity School strives to create an atmosphere of Christian charity and respect for all students and faculty. Coaches and volunteers provide many opportunities for students to develop a strong self- image. Positive reinforcement is used to help students grow in self- discipline and responsibility. Parental Involvement Parents are a key element of the life of our school. Parents are able to support the school community by getting involved in extracurricular activities. |

Enrichment Activities
Boy's Server Guild
All boys in 5th through 12th grade are welcome to join the Server Guild which assists the Priest in the celebration of the Mass.
Girl's Altar Guild
All girls in 5th through 12th grade are welcome to join. The guild assists with the life of the parish family through preparing the churches for Mass and seeing that the sanctuary is appropriately decorated for all liturgical events and seasons.
Field Trips
Teachers are encouraged to arrange educational experiences outside of the classroom that are designed to support the curriculum at each grade level. Throughout the year, these trips may include visiting Riveredge Nature Center, the pumpkin farm, the fire station, the Milwaukee County Zoo, the Schauer Art Center, Discovery World, and various plays and musicals. In addition, an 8th grade class trip is planned each year.
Reading Programs
Students at Holy Trinity School are encouraged to read on a daily basis. Holy Trinity participates in programs to raise student interest and motivation to read independently.
Science Fair
Every other year, students in 3rd through 8th grade research a topic, design an experiment, carry out the experiment, record and analyze date, and create a display to highlight their process and outcome for parents and students. Students in K5 through 2nd grade are also invited to participate.
Student Council
Grades 1-8 have representatives on student council. The 8th grade class are the acting officers. The goals of student council include: provide service opportunities for the school; promote student leadership; build a Christian community in the school.
