Social Fest
For over 20 years, many businesses, individuals and parish members have given their time, talent and generous donations to make this evening a success. The event includes a steak dinner, both silent and live auction items and special projects made by each class of students. 100% of the proceeds from the raffles, games & auctions help support our religious education programs and school. ![]() Scrip
Scrip is just like cash or gift cards sold in kiosks in most major stores…except that it benefits Holy Trinity in two ways. First, part of the proceeds can be used to cover tuition for yourself or another family. Second, part of the profits supports the school. Orders can be sent to the school office or placed online. Scrip order forms are available at the back of church or at the link below. A link to the retailer list is also located below for your convenience. Please call school with any questions. (Fall 2019)
Greetings from the Social Fest team!
We’d like to thank our donors, volunteers and guests, for contributing to another fantastic event. Based on ticket sales, our attendance increased by about 30 people from 2018, to nearly 450 people, and our profits will be over $55,000, our largest amount ever. THANK YOU!!! Your contributions will help to fund many projects at the school, and we had specific funding committed for at least 2 Smart Board replacements, a new laptop for the Religious Education program, and many contributions in support of our teachers. Of specific note was a $6,500 matching donation from Drexel, and another $6,500 “match-the-match” donation from an anonymous donor. Thank you!
Also, we saw a substantial increase in volunteers this year, and used sign-up.com to help organize and schedule our efforts. We had many families contribute 2 hours or more in support of the event. Many hands make light work, (and help to eliminate overload for our event leadership team.) Thank you!
Finally, the team has already begun planning for next year. We have heard input from parish and school member regarding the location of the event. It is our intent to continue to host Social Fest at the parish center, for the long-term future. Our parish center allows us to offer a great event, unaffected by the weather, securely and conveniently, offering both indoor and outdoor enjoyment, and accessible for all. It is also a perfect example of how funding from the parish and community is used on a daily basis, and why fundraisers and events like Social Fest are important for the parish.
Thank you and God Bless!
