Minutes of the Holy Trinity School Advisory Committee

Meeting Date: October 13, 2022



Members Present: Amanda Longden (Principal), Amanda Carter, Jacki Dahm, Sara Weninger, Elise Zupan,

Maggie Lijewski



Members Excused: Julie Korth, Luke Piwoni



1. Opening Prayer – Amanda Carter called the meeting to order at 5:05pm.

2. Visitor Comments – n/a

3. Approval of September minutes

	? Motion to approve minutes. Approved by Sara & Maggie. Motion carried.

4. Principal’s Report

	? Catholic Schools Walk planning underway. All money raised comes right back to the school. 	Matching funds are also available. Money to be used for specialized field trips – trip to 	Madison, Discovery World,etc.

	? $20,000 tuition grant received. Discussions with Finance to set up scholarship fund.

	? Gaga pit installed! Next week larger project starts to remove old and install new. More to 	come in spring. Smaller area for 3-5k students. Re-chipped with new chips that will not need to 	be replaced. Close to $90,000 was raised for this new equipment. Also looking into storage 	shed.

	? Christmas concert – deciding on a date.

	? Accreditation still underway. Occurs every 7 years. Self-study this year - 83 benchmarks and 	13 standards.



5. Pastoral Council Liaison Report – Janet Lauenstein, Rhiannon Olson

	? Dress code discussed.

6. Advancement Committee Report (Amanda Carter provided report)

	? Facebook group – must answer questions to be approved.

7. Home and School Report (Amanda Carter provided report)

	? Kindergarten round-up – great success!

	? Wreath & poinsettia sale – 10/21 order forms due, delivered Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

	? Truck or Treat – only 3 families signed up so far. We need more interest or it will be canceled.

	? Mueller family signed up to coordinate Christmas float

8. Old Business

	? Dress code – no further feedback. Father would like to discuss dress code again in early 2023.

	? Positions for 2022/2023 Year – need a new Secretary. Will vote first thing next meeting.

9. New Business

	 ? Parent involvement & volunteering – Father would like to find additional ways to get more 	parent involvement and volunteering.  This includes attending church.  Idea to include volunteer 	opportunities in Family Folder.  Will discuss further when Advancement/Home and School 	Committee present.
